Some central-european moss species

On the following pages I present some frequent central-european moss species. The sample is totally arbitrary. I simply took those of which I had some pictures. They are neither the most frequent nor the most beautiful species.

In the moment there are only few translated pages. All links marked with a "(de)" lead to german desriptions.

This page also exists with frames.

Antitrichia curtipendula

Antitrichia curtipendula (Hedw.) Brid., a central-european, but rather rare species. It reacts very sensitively on air pollution, and being found in whole europe some times ago, it nowadays seems to be extinct in bigger parts.
